Amphibious fantasy adventure game
Frogbound: the Legend of Sir Hopper is a premium adventure game for PC from developer Stomaco Studio. In this 2D side-scrolling fantasy platformer, players will control an amphibian hero on a quest to explore various dungeons in search of treasures and discover hidden mysteries while facing all kinds of dangers from traps and monsters.
Much like Pizza Tower or Gravity Circuit, Frogbound: the Legend of Sir Hopper's retro pixel graphics and gameplay are inspired by classic games. Players will face all kinds of platforming challenges and enemies in their quest for adventure and glory.
Fabled amphibian knight
Frogbound: the Legend of Sir Hopper takes place in a medieval fantasy world. It centers around the titular Sir Hooper, an amphibian knight looking to create his own legend forged in adventure and hardened by battle. Throughout this perilous journey, he will also be in pursuit and searching for an enigmatic old wizard toad and uncover the secrets he holds.
Sir Hopper will call upon the powerful ancient relics, with the first being the Broken Sword that lets him unleash slashes, charged attacks, and a rush move to clear paths. The Sextant grants him a long-reaching bow with arrows that can be suspended in the air and used as platforms. Lastly, the Scroll draws on the mana all around to help you float and perform double jumps.
During your journey, you will also uncover a dark and sinister conspiracy looming in this immersive adventure game, compelling you to search and defeat the masterminds lurking in the shadows, who seek to alter the course of fate. However, as with most games in this genre, the difficulty will quickly ramp up, and some players will find it too hard to overcome some parts during their gameplay.
Hop to adventure
To sum up, Frogbound: the Legend of Sir Hopper is a fun action platformer filled with retro charm and challenging gameplay. If you are up to the challenge, give this one a try.
